The Ornement carpet pattern is a play on zellij, a traditional form of tiling that helps give Marrakesh its charm. It appears here like a travel memory, still bathed in sunshine, which is repeated and superimposed like in a summer mirage. As if sketched from memory, only the shapes’ contours are visible, forming a non-directional pattern that is all at once poetic, luminous and soothing.

The two tones available in the line are in perfect keeping with the pattern’s style: a terracotta red and a deep blue that unfurl over a patinated background. For a customised carpet, you can of course extend this choice to a wide range of colours.
